Flamenco en Red ( Flamenco online )is a seminar of introduction to the Flamenco which comes up as an initiative of the Proyecto Atalaya, to which the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Science and Company of Junta de Andalucía belongs together with the 10 public universities of Andalucía. Flamenco en Red will offer to those who are interested 8 conferences which will be held in the Salón de Actos of the campus of Jerez de la Frontera of Cádiz University, and 7 shows which will be held in such prestigious places like the Teatro Villamarta in Cádiz, the Teatro Central in Sevilla or the Teatro Cánovas in Málaga, and important artists of the genre will star in those. The conferences will be given by the specialist in the subject and will be broadcasted through the video streaming system so that they will be available after their live broadcasting, even though they will be a short summary of 3-5 minutes on the web. Among the objectives of the course, which registration period has started at the UAL, they offer the formation of new audiences in the history and codes of the flamenco music culture, apart from fostering the relationships between a traditional art and the sector of new technologies. Also, they hope the promotion of the link of a popular art and a traditional art in academic and university fields and the internationalization of the flamenco using the culture spaces of the birthplace of flamenco as an epicentre.
