The dancer and bailaora Lola Greco ( Madrid, 1964 ) has been proclaimed National Prize of Dance 2009 in the category of performance.
In the past years, many bailaores have received this award. Israel Galván, Manuela Carrasco, Javier Barón, Eva la Yerbabuena, Sara Baras or María Pagés are some examples of the weight and the importance that the baile flamenco has among the Spanish dance.
In the last edition, the president of the judge and director of the INAEM, Félix Palomero, has justified the election of Lola Greco for her charisma and great creative talent when she approaches the performance of every lines of the Spanish dance.
