The Flamencofashion and its changes

Andrés Marín contributes his avant-garde flamenco to Bartabas' equestrian theater

After settling down in his personal solo career, Andrés Marín continues to share his findings. If he dialogued with Kader Attou last June at the Chaillot in Paris, the personal bailaor now embarks upon Bartabas' new project. The director of the Zingaro Equestrian Theater of Paris has invited Marín to co-star in 'Golgota', a show which combines equestrian art, dance, music and performance. Following 'Entre'aperçu' and 'Le Centaure et l'animal', the renowned French artist returns to the stage with this show that is defined as dialogue between Man, animals, dance and Tomás Luís de Victorias silent music.

Marín affirms that it is an honor for him to accept the proposal by Bartabas, who he considers to be “a very important person on the world scene who has collaborated with figures such as butoh artist Ko Murobishi and dancer Carolyn Carlson”. Bartabas, as the bailaor explains, “has noticed images which I’ve worked on in shows of mine such as 'La pasión según se mire', 'El cielo de tu boca' and 'Tuétano'”. The encounter between both contemporary artists materializes in an extensive premiere tour with over 60 performances in France during the 2013/2014 season.
