Fandango was a dance accompanied with singing that started to become popular from the 18th century in Andalucía. Since the beginning of the 19th century, the Flamenco adopted characteristics of Fandango and called them "Fandangos aflamencaos (flamenco- inspired Fandangos)", which is nowadays considered as one of the fundamental Flamenco styles. Even though other modalities of Fandango exist in different regions of Andalucía, the ones of Huelva have special characteristics that make them different from the others.
